Big change in the way DVHL schedule is structured is rumored to be announced next week. With a new club added "below the canal" in Delaware could the DVHL be splitting the league into regions? Or will the Pocono Pirates be doing a home and home with the Delaware Stars (a 402 mile round trip) with gas at $5.00 a gallon?

It was just an administrative change. The DVHL is now Grundy to York (116 miles) east to west and Pittston to Harrington DE (201 miles) north to south. 402 miles is a lot of miles to play a Squirt B game. Hopefully they take that into mind when making up the season schedule.

Keep in mind - they volunteered to join. If you take Pocono and the new DE Stars out of the picture the league is still York to Grundy but only Allentown to Newark, DE (95 miles). I am sure the Stars figure it's better than driving to Richmond and below 3 or 4 times. My son's been playing in the DVHL as a 92 since 2nd year of Mites and we have never played a Pocono team, home or away.
