Well what did everybody think of the Winter Classic? Pro's / Con's ?

I thought is really brought back what hockey was all about and no doubt it brought hockey into a lot of livingrooms that don't normally watch hockey. I think it was great for the sport.

I think it went over well, maybe the NHL could plan it so that they aren't going up against NCAA bowl games...might help the ratings a bit more, eh?

had the highest ratings of any regular season game in 11 years though.

I enjoyed it and I think it gave great national exposure to hockey to many non-hockey people. I hope that the non-hockey people saw the fans in the stadium in the freezing cold and thought "this must be a great game if 70,000 people will brave the cold."

Paul Holmgren expressed the Flyers and Penguins exploring an out door game at Beaver Stadium. That would be an incredible display of hockey madness. I hope they can pull it off.

I think it be hard to have that game at penn state on new years day and get as many fans as this past game. For one not to many students are there so you won't draw that crowd. 2 penn state is far from both pitt. and philly and it is a pretty tough place to get to, 1 road basicly the whole way. It would be nice but I think a staduim in a more urban area would be better.

Have a Rangers or Devils vs Flyers at the Giants Staduim or the link that would sell out quick.

Also did hear talks of a Rangers vs Bruins game at fenway

The outdoor games are great, but it would be much better for the NHL to be on ESPN regularily.
