My son reports a sighting of Chase Watson from far-off Beaumont,TX. Chase, formerly of the Little Flyers, Malvern Prep, and Providence College, is playing for the Augusta Lynx of the ECHL.

Chase sports a 12-15-27 line and a +3 rating in 61 games this year for the Lynx.

Beaumont is home to the Texas Wildcatters, first place team in the ECHL South, and best overall record in the league. We had more fans in the stands Friday night for Henderson/East than the Wildcatters did for the game I saw there last month.

They need to re-name that league...."East Coast" hockey league, just doesnt cut it anymore.

Its not the East Coast hockey league anymore. Its just called the ECHL and they say it doesnt stand for anything now.

Don't forget former Jr. Flyer Johnny Murray getting signed by Reading.
